Working principle of water softening systems is to help remove calcium (Ca + ²) and magnesium (Mg + ²) ions, which cause hardness in water, with ion exchange method. It is the removal process of sodium (Na +) ions in cationic resin by replacing with calcium and magnesium ions. After this process, the regeneration of resin with salt water can be controlled either by time or flow control.
